And more on the Colombia-Venezuela flap, you’ll find it surprising that El Tiempo reports that the US has announced that it supports Uribe’s side in the conflict. Which is rather like saying they support their own side, or the person they put up to starting the conflict.
The most preposterous aspect is that they said they support Uribe’s decision because it’s his sovereign right to make the decision! Colombian sovereignty is the US grounds for supporting Uribe!
